Steele County Historical Society Presents the Newest Edition of History Uncorked: “The Blair Murder Case”

August 28, 2017

August 2017 – The Steele County Historical Society (SCHS) announces the newest edition of History Uncorked – a fun and innovative way to learn about history while enjoying a glass of wine, beer or soda.  This edition, “The Blair Murder Case,” will be held Thursday, September 14, 7PM at the Steele County History Center.

The Blair Murder Case is a true story occurring in 1884 in Steele County history.  While arresting a woman believed to belong to the Barrett Circus, Special Policeman John Blair had an altercation with James Jacobs, which resulted in Blair’s death.

Join us as attorneys Ben Cass and James Cole argue the case using the evidence from 1884.  The audience, aka jury will deliberate and decide the case before learning the true fate of the accused. The Honorable Judge Christian will preside.

History Uncorked is sponsored by Smith, Tollefson, Rahrick and Cass Law.  Tickets are $10 for members; $15 for non-members and includes one beverage of your choice.  Additional wine, beer and soda are available for purchase. Tickets are available for purchase at the History Center or online at www.eventbrite.com.  Seating is limited.
